Who we are

Mock Clinic ("we", "us") is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can contact us about privacy at hello@mockclinic.co.uk.

What we collect

  • Your account: your email address, and your name if you give it. Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider and we never see them.
  • Emails you send us: whatever you choose to include.
  • Technical data: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) to run the site securely.

We don't use advertising or analytics cookies on this website. If that changes, we'll ask for your consent first.

How we use it and why

  • To provide your account. Our lawful basis is performing our contract with you.
  • To reply to your messages. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering you.
  • To keep the site secure. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the site and its users.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. These providers process it on our behalf under contract:

  • Vercel: website hosting and server logs.
  • Clerk: account sign-up and sign-in.

Both are based in the United States. Where data leaves the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

How long we keep it

We keep your account details until you delete your account or ask us to. We keep emails you send us for as long as we need to deal with your query.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you
  • have it corrected or deleted
  • restrict or object to how we use it
  • receive it in a portable format

To use any of these rights, email hello@mockclinic.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
